Erna E. Urban, 92, of Kaukauna, passed away June 25, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born on March 7, 1922, to Henrietta and Arthur Fleishfresser, Sr. On June 30, 1943, she married Michael C. Urban who preceded her in death in February 1968. In later life, she lost her fiance, John Kovach, who passed away in 1980.

Erna was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Daniel Derks; brothers Albert, Arthur Jr. and Ervin Fleischfresser; brother-in-law Rudy Venz; and sisters-in-law Elizabeth, Arlene, Muriel and Yvonne Fleischfresser.
Erna is survived by daughters Carol Derks and Kathleen (Roger) Hibbs; son Michael (Lori) Urban; grandchildren: Kevin (Becky), Kacy (fiancé, Henry Hansen), Adam Urban and Aaron Hibbs; great grandchildren Kendra, Tyler, and Bryce Urban; sisters Audrey Venz and Dorothy Boness; brothers Norman and Robert Fleischfresser; sister-in-law Gloria Fleischfresser; brother-in law Fred Boness; as well as beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Erna was an avid Brewer and Green Bay Packer Fan. She always had a game on and was opinionated about the players. She was a caregiver, always compassionate and available for her children, grandchildren, and family. She really enjoyed watching her three young great grandchildren play. The coffee was always on at Erna's house, ready to be served with homemade chocolate chip cookies and banana bread. No one ever left her house hungry. Her enormous personality, wealth of selflessness and friendly smile will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held Monday June 30, 2014 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH (124 W. Tenth St., Kaukauna) beginning at 2:30 p.m. until time of Funeral at 4:30 p.m. The Rev. Levi Willms will officiate. Immediate family will return home with her for a private burial in Ashland, WI. Erna will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Michael.
