Elizabeth "Betty" Beauchaine of Sherwood, WI passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2010, surrounded by her ever-loving husband, Gene, and her family. She will be deeply missed by her children, their spouses and special friends: Susan and Howard Gundlach of Madison, Kathryn Laudin Beauchaine and Jeffrey Laudin of Omaha, Janet and Nicholas Grode of Menasha, Robert Beauchaine of Manly Iowa, and Jeffrey Beauchaine and Lynne Rupert of Milwaukee. She leaves her beloved grandchildren: Alan Gundlach, Adam and Lisa Gundlach, David Gundlach and Jessica Peck, Nicholas Laudin, Jennifer Laudin, Mary Grode, Paul Grode, Jessica Schrage (great-grandsons Caden and Brody), and Jace Beauchaine. In addition, two brothers-in-law, Gerald and James Beauchaine, and three sisters-in-law, June Stangl, Jeanette Loomis and Peg Beauchaine, many nieces, nephews and friends mourn her passing.
Betty was born, Elizabeth Ann Stangl, May 28, 1923 in Marshfield, WI. She and Eugene were married July 8, 1948 in Marshfield, WI. Her parents, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death. A life-long devout Catholic, she was an active member of the church and a supporter of charitable organizations, especially the St. Joseph's Food Program. Her hobbies were volunteer work, needlework and gardening. She was committed to making a better world for humans, birds and animals of all shapes and sizes.
Visitation will be held Saturday May 1, 2010 beginning at 8:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 at ST. JOSEPH PARISH (404 W. Lawrence Appleton). The Rev. Larry Abler, O.F.M. Cap. will officiate. Committal St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph's Church or the St. Joseph's Food Program.
