Elaine A. Smith, Kimberly, age 73, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Bridges of Appleton. She was born in Sheboygan on July 24, 1944, the fifth child of the late Albert and Ida (Kaiser) Beringer. Elaine married Anthony L. Petrie, Sr. on December 1, 1962 in Sheboygan Falls. Together, they had four sons: Anthony Jr., Keith (aka Alexander Langlois), Bryon and Bradley Petrie. They later divorced. On May 22, 1997 Elaine married Robert Smith Jr. in Loveland, Colorado.

She enjoyed crocheting, reading, watching the Packers and going to thrift stores.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Robert of Kimberly; sons: Bryon (Sarah) Petrie of Kaukauna; and Bradley Petrie of Milwaukee; granddaughters: Britainney (Lyle) Cleveland and Gabrielle and Kayleigh Petrie; brothers-in-law: Richard (Pam) Smith and Ronald Smith; and special friends: Craig Poulter and Kenneth Martin. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by two sons: Anthony Jr. and Keith (Alexander); their father: Anthony Sr.; brothers: Clarence (Felix) and Albert Beringer, Jr.; sisters: Ruth Spaeth and Marion Bradley; father and mother-in-law: Robert and Rosella Smith Sr.; and brother-in-law: Roger Smith.

In accordance with Elaine's wishes, there will be no service.
