Elaine I. Jones, Little Chute, age 90, passed peacefully with her loving family beside her, on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in the town of Maine, Wisconsin on September 3, 1928 to the late Wilbur and Laura (Mc Hugh) Carpenter. On March 30, 1946, Elaine was united in marriage to Leonard G. Jones of Navarino. She took care of their home and children until they were grown. Elaine then worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill for eleven years. Once she and Len bought their cottage in the town of Breed, Elaine retired to enjoy more time there. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, wood crafts, fishing and hunting. Elaine also loved to pedal her bike around on the country roads up north.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 72 years, Len; children: Lois (Bob) Pahl, Little Chute; Patrick (Lois Fielder) Jones, Little Chute; and Shirley (Patrick) Bayorgeon, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Joseph (Tina) and Christopher (Janice) Pahl and Debra Klink; and Jonathan (Karen) Daniel (Vicki) and Michael (Carmen) Jones; great grandchildren: Anna, Ella, Jessica and Hunter Pahl; and Almeta, Robin, Ashley, Lindsay and Nicholas Jones; step great grandchildren: BJ, Kevin and Alyssa; step great great grandchildren: Abby, Aubrey and Levi; brother, Francis Carpenter; and sister-in-law: Naomi Carpenter. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her granddaughter-in-law, Sativa Pahl; brothers: Marvin (infant), Arnold (Mabel), Eugene (Mildred), Carl (Lillian), Wilford, Gordon (Cleavo), Maurice (Anna), and Leeland (Elaine's twin) Carpenter; sisters: infants Cynthia and Golda, Julia (Myron) Phillips, Margaret (Harold) Peterson, and Florence (Basil) Wilber.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH (124 W. 10 ^th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. The funeral will follow at 12:00 p.m. She will be buried at Union Cemetery.   A memorial is being established.
