Obituary

Edward "Eddie" Bergemann, Menasha, 81, died June 4, 2010, at his home of natural causes. Eddie was born November 13, 1928, in Appleton, WI to Edward and Mayme (Welch) Bergemann. He attended school at Twin Willows in Appleton through the 8th grade. He then worked with his father on the family farm on Cty Hwy A. At the age of 18, Eddie went to work for the Outagamie Producer's Co-op (now Alto) in Black Creek, WI. He worked there from spring of 1947 until he was drafted into the US Army in January 1951. He volunteered for the Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, KY and served as a paratrooper. After receiving an honorable discharge in January 1953, he returned to the Outagamie Producer's Co-op and became the supervisor of all the cheese making operations. Eddie worked for Fockel's Upholstery from 1972 until he retired in 1991. His home was in Menasha, WI and he never married. Eddie had numerous collections, including records, books, glass figurines, and stamps. He enjoyed many years of travel with family and friends. He was an excellent bowler and loved music. He was an eternal optimist. About a week prior to his death, he told his cousin, "I feel so good, I could go dancing!" His Friday night card group (Dick, Russ, Amy and Nancy) will miss him very much.

Eddie is survived by his brother and sister-in law, Robert and Helen Bergemann AZ, brother-in-law, Virgil Wolfgram WI, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Wolfgram WI.
