Obituary

Duretta Carmen Stewart (nee Prickette), of Appleton, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2014 at Brewster Village Long Term Care Center in Appleton. She was born in Elcho on June 25, 1932. Duretta was an avid gardener and horse woman. She was a professional singer, guitarist and organist. Duretta loved music. She had the voice of an angel but was happiest when she was fishing and hunting. Duretta was a member of the Brewster Village Music and Memory Initiative.

Duretta is survived by her siblings: De Loris June (nee Prickette) Davis, Lawrence Dale (Georgine) Prickette, Ronald Lee Prickette, Donna Mae (Gary) (nee Prickette) Cox and Judith Ann (Tom) (nee Rabe) Kannenberg; and son Edward Stewart Jr. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Duretta was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stewart; parents Alfred and Arlene Prickette; and siblings: Gordon Prickette, Bette Lou (nee Prickette) Rawlings, and Darlene Karen (nee Prickette) Gingras.
