Dorothy Wingrove LaRue, age 85, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Appleton Health Care Center. Dorothy was born in Appleton, WI on April 12, 1925, the daughter of George and Theresa (Tracy) Wingrove Sr. She lived in the Appleton/Neenah area all her life and was a member of St. Bernadette Church, Appleton. Dorothy worked at Kimberly Clark for 15 years and, along with her husband Junior, ran LaRue's Bar from 1964-1974. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially shopping with her sisters.
Dorothy is survived by two brothers-in-law, Robert Miller and Rodney LaRue; and other in-laws and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Junior LaRue, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Melvin (Betty), John (Florence) and George (Gertrude) Wingrove; Florence (Herbert) Getschow, Rose (Herbert) Parker, Phyllis (Robert) Miller and Mary (Harold/Jerry) Lausman/Sigl.
Visitation will be held Monday May 17, 2010 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (201 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 6:30 p.m. until time of funeral at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. David Kelly will officiate.
