Dorothy Mae Gloudemans, 94, of Little Chute, WI, passed away on April 14, 2014 at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna, WI. Born November 28, 1919, she was the oldest of 8 children born to William and Kathryn (Jackels) Kerkhof of Hollandtown, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Quintin (Curly) Gloudemans, to whom she was married October 3, 1942 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. She dedicated her early adult years to providing a loving and comfortable home for her husband and children in Little Chute, WI. In her later years she also worked in sales at JC Penney in Appleton.
She was an active member of St John Parish in Little Chute, WI for more than 65 years. She was also a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, the St. John Mission Club, the Golden Agers and the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 Auxiliary.
She and her husband were blessed with 6 surviving children: Lynn Scanlan of Tucson, AZ; Neil (Margaret Zbinovec) Gloudemans of Fort Wayne, IN; Daniel (Linda VanAsten) Gloudemans of Little Chute, WI; Nancy (Gary) Rollo of Little Chute, WI; Mary Gloudemans M.D. of Tucson, AZ; and Michael (Denise Nordberg) Gloudemans of Big Lake, MN.
Her surviving brothers and sisters include: Eugene (Louise) Kerkhof of Sun City AZ; Francis Kerkhof of Hollandtown WI; Jerry Kerkhof of Silver Springs MD; Sister Mary Hugh of Manitowoc, WI; and Katherine Kerkhof of Middletown, WI.
Preceding her in death are brother Wilfred Kerkhof and sister Eileen Pendergast, sister-in-laws Delores Kerkhof and Joan Kerkhof and brother-in-law Boniface "Bonnie" Pendergast.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and twin great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday April 21, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
