Dorothy M. Gehrman, Kimberly, age 90, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 after a short illness at Prairie Home Assisted Living. She was born in Kimberly on March 8, 1926 to the late Ted and Maggie Wachtendonk. Dorothy married Gordon Gehrman on June 18, 1949 at Holy Name Parish, where she was a lifelong member. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2012 after 62 years of marriage. While her greatest joy was taking care of her family, Dorothy worked for Kimberly Clark, Outagamie County and Telephone Secretaries through the years. Dorothy and Gordon enjoyed traveling and spending time "up north" with family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by two children: Guy (Sandra Weyers) Gehrman, Stevens Point; and Janet (David) Evansen, Appleton; three grandchildren: Michael Evansen, West Allis; Amanda (Kyle) Retzki, Appleton; and Gordon Gehrman, Stevens Point. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents and husband, Gordon, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – KIMBERLY CHURCH (620 E. Kimberly Ave. Kimberly) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Robert Kollath will officiate. Committal Holy Name Cemetery.
