Doris Mae Jansen, Little Chute, age 86, died on Friday, November 29, 2024 at her home after a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with her family. Doris was blessed to have passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Appleton on April 23, 1938 to the late Roman and Marie (Hietpas) Salm. She married William Jansen on June 25, 1960 at St. John's Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2011 after 50 years of marriage.
Doris is survived by her children: Sue (Todd) Heuvelmans, Wabeno; Mike (Laurie) Jansen, Florida; Mary Jo (Rick) Santkuyl, Duluth, MN; Sara (Jon) Milheiser, Darboy; and Jill (David) Delfosse, Appleton; grandchildren: Chris (Tara) Jansen, Leah (Matt) Menting, Brook (Drew) Hoy, Katrina (Ted) Van Thiel,; Katey, Jacob, and Matthew Santkuyl; Abbie, Emmie, and Nicholas Milheiser; and Grace, Isabelle, William, and Claire Delfosse; twelve great grandchildren; siblings: Marion (Jack) Vande Hey, Jerry (Lois) Salm, Cathy (Dick) Bauer, Bob (Gail) Salm, Dick (Peggy) Salm, Deb (Steve) Halverson, and Annie (Glenn) Higgins; sisters-in-law: Virgie Salm, and Betty Geiger and Elaine Jansen and Brother-in-law Ken Vande Hey. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; infant granddaughter, Hannah Delfosse; siblings: Ray Salm, Jim Salm, Roman Salm, Jr., Harold "Ringo" Salm, and Janice Vande Hey; sisters-in-law: Joyce (Elmer) Van Gompel and Mickey (Don) Farrell; and brothers-in-law: Ken Geiger, Sonny (Maggie), John, Joe (Deloris), Roger (Darlene), and Tom Jansen.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute) from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon with the Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating. Committal St. John Cemetery.
