Donna
Koeller
December 6, 1933 – November 27, 2023
On December 6, 1933, Donna Koeller was born in Gresham, Wisconsin to Louis and Clara (Buettner) Koeller. Donna graduated from Gresham High School in 1951. She went on to the College of St. Benedict and entered the convent after her first year. Donna became a Benedictine sister and taught school in Minnesota for twelve years. After leaving the convent, she came back to Wisconsin to teach at St. Margaret Mary in Neenah for twenty-two years. Donna then became the principal for ten years at St. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Hortonville. Returning to Neenah, Donna spent another ten years in different teaching positions with the Twin City Catholic Schools: St. Margaret Mary, St. Gabriel, and Seton Middle School before ill health caused her to retire.
Teaching was Donna's passion and she loved her students. Her greatest hope was that she taught them well and they would lead successful lives, becoming responsible citizens within their community.
Donna leaves behind her brothers: Larry Koeller and Mike (Toni Rozek) Cane; nephew, Todd (Monica) Koeller; nieces: Lori (Allen) Larson, Carol (Charles) Schmidt, Debbie (Mike Lasko) Jaskolski, and Jody (Steven) Gerdin. Donna also leaves behind her special friend and caregiver for many years, Adele Kulinski, and many more relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Clara Koeller; brother, Norman Koeller; and sister, Shirley Koeller.
