Van Stippen
October 29, 1936 – June 23, 2021
Donald H. Van Stippen, Appleton, age 84, was called home to be with his savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. He was born in Appleton, to the late Henry and Louise (Raab) Van Stippen, on October 29, 1936. He married the love of his life, Donna Neift, at St. Therese Parish in Appleton, on June 27, 1959. Donald served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959. He then spent his career as a law enforcement officer for the City of Appleton from 1964 until his retirement as Captain in 1991.
Donald will be dearly missed by his sons: David (Mari) Van Stippen, and Randy (Tracy McKendry) Van Stippen; grandchildren: Katrina (Larry) Bangart, and Leah (Christopher) Beeman; and three great grandchildren: Traice, Alliyah, and Addison Beeman. He is further survived by sisters: Shirley (Richard) Procknow, Ruth (Francis) Schiltz, and Mary Lou (George) Vander Linden; brothers: Robert (Peggy) Van Stippen, and Henry (Wendy) Van Stippen; and sisters-in-law: Paula Van Stippen and Linda Van Stippen. Donald will also be greatly missed by his very close brother in Christ, Franklin Diestler, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Lisa and Leroy Heindl.
Greeting him in Heaven are his Lord Jesus Christ, parents, daughter Catherine, his loving wife of 62 years, Donna, parents-in-law Henry and Helen Neift, brothers Jerry and Wayne, and nephew Ricky Procknow.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at APPLETON ALLIANCE CHURCH (2693 Grand Chute Blvd., Appleton) from 3:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. The funeral will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Dr. Dennis Episcopo officiating. Military rites, conducted by the Kaukauna V.F.W. Post 3319 and American Legion Post 41, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at HIGHLAND MEMORIAL PARK (3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton).
The Van Stippen family would like to give a special thanks to hospice for the care they have given to both Donald and Donna over the last year.
