Donald S. "Don" Kolosso, Appleton, age 81. Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather died peacefully after a short illness with his family by his side. He was born September 27, 1931, the son of Robert and Stella Kolosso and married Joan (Berghuis) on November 27, 1952 at St. Mary's Parish in Appleton. Don served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. He enjoyed golf, bowling, volunteering and was an active member of St. Thomas More Parish. Don retired from Roundy's in 1985, after 38 years of service.
Don is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan. Together, they were blessed with seven children: Steven (Betsy), Debbie (Guy) Verstegen, Joseph, Sharon (Robert) Charlier, Randy (Julie), Connie Fischer and Larry (Michelle), 17 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters: Pat (John) Schreiter and Irene Cagle; members of Joan's family; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sons, Steven and Joseph; Joan's parents; two brothers; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held Friday June 14, 2013 at ST. THOMAS MORE PARISH (1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Gerald Falk will officiate.
