Obituary

Donald G. Ourada, aged 90, passed away peacefully in Little Chute on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Born in Sheboygan on June 8, 1935, to the late Fabian and Anne (Kristzonas) Ourada, Don lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community.

On August 20, 1958, Don married the love of his life, Susan Murray at St. Joseph Parish in Appleton. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, lasting 65 years until Sue's passing in 2024. Don was a proud graduate of Marquette University, earning a bachelor's degree in engineering. He served his country honorably for five years in the United States Army Reserves.

Don and Sue were deeply involved in their community. Don was an avid golfer, achieving a hole-in-one, and enjoyed many years playing softball. Together, they created cherished memories camping at Evergreen Campground. Don was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, served as a Village Trustee in Combined Locks, and was an active parishioner at St. Paul Parish. He contributed as an usher, and, alongside Sue, volunteered with Meals on Wheels and worked to support the local homeless community, often preparing large batches of soup for those in need. Don also enjoyed playing cards, participating in a church card club later in life.

Above all, Don was a devoted family man with a strong faith. He cherished time with his family and consistently put others before himself.

Don is survived by his children: Dianne (Tony) Groeschl of Chilton; Dr. Timothy (Trudy Lom-Ourada) of Darboy; Tom (significant other Tina Woods) of Appleton; Scott (Jennifer Weber-Ourada) of Appleton; and Jay (Amy) Ourada of Appleton. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Anthony, Zachary (Cassie), and Dr. Ross (Brooke) Groeschl; Tony Lom and Tyler Ourada; Nick (fiancée Jai-Diana Vang) Ourada; Paige, Grace (Cole) Pint, and Patrick (fiancée Hanna) Ourada; Mitchell (fiancée Alli), Parker (special friend Autumn), and Evan Ourada; and his great-grandchildren: Brooks, Emmett, Evie, Ayden, and Iris Stevie. Don is further survived by his brothers: James and Mike (Mary) Ourada; his brother-in-law, Peter (Ginny) Murray; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife Sue, Don was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Ourada; his father- and mother-in-law, Edward and Madeline (Moran) Murray; and his siblings-in-law: Nancy Ourada, Donald Murray, James (Corky) Murray, Edward "Ted" (Mary) Murray, and Marge Murray.

Visitation will be held on January 24, 2026, at St. Paul Parish (410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks), beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Robert Stegmann. Military Honors will be rendered after Mass.  Interment will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the Country Villa staff in Little Chute for their dedicated care over the past 4 ½ years.  He was affectionately known as "grandpa" to all who knew him.  Additionally, a special thanks to Moments Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness to our father.
