Lory Maley, 78, of Little Chute passed away peacefully at St. Paul Elder Services on Sunday, July 1st, 2012 with her family at her side after a long battle with Wegener's Vasculitis.
She was born in Little Chute, WI on January 6th, 1934 to the late Nicholas and Anna (Kroes) Huisman. She was united in marriage to Daniel Maley on October 15, 1955 at St. John Nepomucene Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on July 4th, 1988. She graduated from St. John High School in Little Chute in 1952. Lory worked as a legal secretary at Van Hoof, Van Hoof, & Cornett Law Office for over 50 years, retiring in 2003. She was a longtime member of the Wisconsin Association of Legal Secretaries and a lifelong member of St. John's Nepomucene in Little Chute.
Lory was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her nine grandchildren and a great grandchild arriving shortly. Lory and Danny enjoyed many happy years spent with family and friends at their cottage on Loon Lake in Florence, WI. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, playing cards, ceramics, and going to lunch with family and friends.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her children: Mary (Dave) Heiting, Little Chute, Mike (Tammy) Maley, Little Chute, Carol (Larry) Spietz, Kaukauna: nine grandchildren: Andrea (Isaac) Zimmermann, Amanda & Jackson Heiting, Daniel, Rachel, & Matthew Maley, Ali, Taylor and Hannah Schroeder. She is further survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Pauline Niesen, Kaukauna and Melda (Richard) Johnson, Green Bay, brothers-in-law Richard Niesen, Cottage Grove, Dave Zwick, Kechikan, Alaska and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her husband Danny, she was preceded in death by her siblings and in-laws: Marion (Skip) Woods, Theresa Niesen, Laverne (Alan) Baerenwald, Angie Zwick, Al (Evelyn) Huisman, Richard (Vivian) Huisman, Clarence (Laverne) Huisman, and Nicholas (Zeta) Huisman; her in-laws; Mildred Maley, Betty (Carl) Bruehl, Bob Maley.
Visitation will be held Thursday July 5, 2012 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 3:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. To sign the guest book, visit oconnellfh.com.
