Dolores Mary Van Groll, Little Chute, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on July 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Nackers) Van Groll. Dolores was a 1967 graduate of St. John High School in Little Chute. On March 26, 1992 she was the recipient of a new kidney and blessed with 24 years of new life. Dolores retired after many years of service with Hartjes-Walsh, Insurance Management and Ansay and Associates. She loved sports, especially watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers and golfing with her many friends. Dolores also loved going on trips with her special friends, Bev Van Daallwyk and Nancy Kortz.
She will be greatly missed by her brothers: Pete (Joyce) and Paul (Ruby); a special cousin, Janice (Al) Schumacher; and her aunts, Anna Jane Vande Hey and Joyce Nackers. Dolores is further survived by her nieces: Lori (Larry) Cotter, Cheryl (Bill) Motelet, Jessie Van Groll, Jodi (fiance Chad Resch) Van Groll, Maggie (special friend Brent Spierings) Van Groll and Mollie (Seth) Christie; nephews: Mark (Angela), Mike (Jenny), Scott (Casey), Chris (Maria) Van Groll; and ten great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; special cousin Norbert Van Groll; and great niece Olivia.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Brewster Village, the Theda Care doctors, the transplant unit at University Hospital in Madison and Fr. Jim Vanden Hogen.
