Dennis P. Wyngaard, Wrightstown, age 62, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday February 3, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1947 to Charles and Adeline (Hartzheim) Wyngaard. Dennis graduated from Little Chute High School in 1965. On September 17, 1966 he married Cynthia J. Nelson at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute. Dennis served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was a lifetime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 400 Union. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and landscaping but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Cindy; their two daughters, Nicole (Sequoya) Borgman, Milwaukee; and Lindsay, Little Chute; and three sisters: Phyllis (Tom) Vandenberg, Combined Locks; Gerry (Dan) Romenesko, Little Chute; and Janice Wockenfuss, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday February 6, 2010 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (201 E. Main St. Little Chute). The Rev. Greg Sampson will officiate. Military rites conducted by the Appleton American Legion Post 38 will immediately follow. Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
