Delores E. Mischler, Kaukauna, 80, was called home to her Heavenly Father on November 2, 2017 at the St. Paul Home with her family by her side. She was born in Freedom on September 24, 1937 to the late Martin and Josephine (Van Handel) Van Asten. Throughout the years, Delores enjoyed providing for her family by gardening, canning, cooking, and baking. Some of her favorite pastimes included sewing, crafting, and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed spending time playing cards, bingo, and watching the Green Bay Packers with her friends. Delores treasured her family and found comfort in her strong faith in God.

Delores is survived by her children: Janice (Todd) Welhouse of Kaukauna; Linda Pagel (Jim Hertzberg) of Suring; Michael (Heidi) Mischler of Bear Creek; JoAnn Vandenberg of Little Chute; Amy (Doug) Reque of Kaukauna; Sharon (David) Brochtrup of Kaukauna; Shirley (John) Giese of Brillion; Chris (David) Hansen of Kenosha; Jeffrey Mischler of Appleton; Lisa (Chris) Barry of Aurora, IL; Dan Mischler of Kimberly; Karen (Jeff) Hanagan of Kaukauna; and Dennis Mischler of De Pere; grandchildren: Tammy and Lexi Welhouse, Emily (Alex) Feistel, Nic Mischler, Tamlyn, Bree and Maya Ganzen, Brianna (Kurt) Kuchelmeister, James Vandenberg, Bethany and Kristin Reque, Megan and Ben Brochtrup, Ashley and Jordan Giese, Christian Hansen, Amanda Mischler, Emma Schwarz, Joey and John Hanagan; great granddaughter, Lilian; sister: Lois (Lloyd) Schuessler; brothers: Merlin (Janice), Marvin (Mary), Carl (Sharon), Wayne (Anne), Lyle, and Jack (Paulene) Van Asten; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob Mischler, Betty Mischler, Joyce (Phil) Bruecker, Carol Thiele, Marilyn (Don) Kavanaugh, Louie (Ellen) Mischler and Paul Reichel. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her infant sister Carol; and in-laws: Louis and Irene Mischler, Agnes Mischler; brothers and sisters-in-law: Irene Mischler, Ervin Mischler, Helen (Joe) Coppus, Ben Mischler, Peter Mischler, Roger Thiele and Catherine Reichel.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7 ^th St., Kaukauna) beginning at 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. The Rev. Carl Meulemans will officiate with Deacon Steve Vande Hey assisting. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name. Memorials can also be made to St. Paul Elder Services.

The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Russo and the staff and volunteers at the St. Paul Home for their kindness and compassionate care of our mother. We would also like to thank all her wonderful family and friends for all their love and support - especially Lois and Joyce.
