Dawn K. Lambrecht ("Red"), Little Chute, age 74, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital with her children by her side.  She was born in Aurora, WI on June 4, 1946 (on the kitchen table!) to the late Peter and Maxine (Bourassa) Neuens.  Dawn was a true caregiver, as both the owner of a day care and as a CNA.  She enjoyed trips to the casino and playing bingo.  Dawn treasured her family and the time she spent with them. She could often be seen sitting on her front porch reading a book. She also enjoyed playing cards and going out "for a bite to eat" with friends and family. We will never forget her chocolate chip cookies, either!

Dawn is survived by her children:  Holly Lambrecht, Little Chute; Shane (Diane) Lambrecht, Appleton; Kari (Steve Leonhard) Perz, Appleton; and Cody (Emily Fleck) Lambrecht, Oshkosh; grandchildren:  Hannah Lambrecht, Samantha and Casey Perz, and Leia Lambrecht; great granddaughter, Lilah Lambrecht; siblings:  Gary (Roxanne) Neuens, Barb Hackel, Phyllis (Gene) Vander Pas, and Randy (Linda) Neuens; and Godchildren: Robin Sanders, Dayna Wolf, Joe Hackel, and Amy O'Rourke.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John Hackel; and nephew, Michael Neuens.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Abouzelam and all the staff in the ICU at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Your compassionate care of our mom the past two months will never be forgotten. You truly are healthcare heroes.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Bruce Corey officiating.

In light of the current pandemic, we respectfully ask that you wear a mask while attending the visitation and service.   If you are uncomfortable joining us for Dawn's funeral, it will be live streamed on the O'Connell Funeral Home Facebook page.

Mom, our hearts are broken. You fought such a tough battle after your surgery. But we know you are no longer in pain and have been reunited with grandma and grandpa and all your loved ones who met you with open arms. Please watch over us until we meet again.
