David L. Hankwitz , 64, went home to be with Jesus on August 20, 2021.  Dave passed peacefully in his home with his loved ones at his side. Dave was born on July 14, 1957 in Clintonville, WI, the son of Eugene Hankwitz and Shirley Boardman (Herbst).  Following school at Appleton West, Dave enlisted into the U.S Army.  Dave earned an honorable discharge from the military and started his civilian lifestyle in Appleton, WI. Meeting Pauleen Krause in1978, they married on July 18, 1980.

Dave is predeceased in death by his father, Eugene Hankwitz; cousin, Robert Hankwitz; and uncle, Jim Boardman.

In addition to his wife, Pauleen (Krause) Hankwitz, Dave is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Brice) Hankwitz (Jordan Brice); and son, Steven Hankwitz (Megan Sullivan). Dave's pride and joy were his grandchildren Austin, Braeden, Ryker, Madilyn, and Asher. Dave will be watching over his brothers Dennis (Linda) and Dan (Janet); and sisters DeAnne (Paul), Debi (Donny) and Dawn (Brian).

Dave left footprints on everyone's heart whoever he met. Dave was a stubborn but caring Father, Grandfather, and Brother. He will be missed by so many but will not be forgotten.

Please join in celebrating Dave's life with us on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 from 4 pm-6 pm for visitation, following with the service at 6 pm at Christ the Rock Community Church in W6254 US Hwy 10/114 Menasha, WI.
