Darlene M. McAndrews, age 69, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at Brewster Village after a long illness. Darlene was born on February 25, 1945 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, daughter of the late Andrew and Marie Van Dera. On November 20, 1971 Darlene married Mark McAndrews in Kaukauna. Darlene was employed at Bergs Dry Cleaners, Kaukauna Klub, Larry's Piggly Wiggly and as a crossing guard for the City of Kaukauna.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Mark McAndrews, Darboy; son, Brian (Kelly) McAndrews, West Bend; two grandchildren, Miranda and Cameron McAndrews. She is further survived by two brothers, Leroy (Judy) Van Dera, Mackville, Gordon (Pam) Van Dera, Kaukauna; sister, Linda (Marshall) Bayorgeon, Kaukauna.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents and late husband, Bernard Hruska.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4 pm until the time of service at 6 pm at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute). Rev. Ron Belitz will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Tom Lewandowski, his staff and the staff on the 3rd floor and AMC. They kept Darlene going well past her expiration date, with a good quality of life.
