Darlene J. Dorn, Kimberly, age 73, passed away Wednesday May 19, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 28, 1936 to the late Martin and Angeline Van Roy in Kimberly, where she lived most of her life. Prior to her retirement from Colony Oaks Care Center in 1988, Darlene also worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Darlene is survived by her children: Kim (Bert) Zelten, Kewaunee; Cheryl (friend Jake), Kaukauna; Steve (Mary), Jimmy (Wanda), Mike (friend Helen) and Lori, all of Kimberly; grandchildren: Matthew, Adam, Jamie, Ryan, Alisha, Benjamin, Tracy (Brett), Matthew, Samantha, Bradley and Melissa; great grandchildren: Jordan, Ryle and Rayna; brother Bernard Van Roy; sister-in-law Marcelline Beschta; brother-in-law Leo Van Drasek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James; sisters Rosella Schnese and Dorothy Van Drasek; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rita Van Roy, Stanley Beschta, Cal Schnese; step-father Wilbert Vande Berg; and mother and father-in-law M. William and Mazella Dorn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday May 25, 2010 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (201 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral at 6:00 p.m. The Deacon Bud Klister will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
