Daniel L. Van Handel, Harrison, age 64, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 8, 2026, suddenly of natural causes.  A Little Chute native, he was born on April 30, 1961, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Ulrich) Van Handel.   Dan married Debra Stanek on October 12, 1991 in Sun Prairie.  He enjoyed watching sports and playing golf.  Together, Dan and Debbie enjoyed traveling.  His family was his world.  He cherished time spent with them and delighted in his role as Grandpa.

Dan is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbie; children:  Eric (Emma) Van Handel of Appleton and Lauren (Tim Lynaugh) Van Handel of Little Chute; grandchildren:  Brecken, Elsie, and Calvin; father, Ray Van Handel; siblings:  Steve (Ann) Van Handel and Kelly Minten; father-in-law, Roger Stanek; and sister-in-law, Brenda (Martin Veitch) Stanek.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Marge Van Handel; mother-in-law, Anita Stanek; and nephews, Ben and Parker.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 3:00 p.m. until 4:45 p.m.  His Funeral will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor David Vande Hey officiating.
