Daniel L. Loos, Harrison, age 86, died at his home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. He was born in Appleton on June 3, 1940, to the late Oscar and Florence (Felauer) Loos. Daniel married Mary Mc Daniel on June 13, 1964, at Holy Cross Parish. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2013. Together, they made many trips to their favorite place, Door County. They particularly loved Peninsula State Park.

Dan was the kindest, most gentle soul that always strived to help his family and friends.

He was a regular at Mohnen’s Family Restaurant, where the staff became family.

Daniel is survived by his children: Melissa (Gary) Verkuilen of Kaukauna and Kyle Loos of Neenah; grandsons: Josh (Sarah) and Nate Verkuilen; grandchildren: Harper and Hadley; in-laws: Ellen Branuberger, Donna (Myron) Schuette, Ken (Cher), Steve (Ann), and Gordy (Linda) Mc Daniel; and good family friends, Julie Van Dyke, and Dawn and Pat. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mary, Daniel was preceded in death by his brother Craig “Skip” Loos; mother-in-law, Gertrude (Thyssen) Mc Daniel; Mary’s infant brother, Carl Mc Daniel; and a niece.

A gathering will be held on August 22, 2026, at Hollander's Pub and Grill, beginning at 1:00 p.m. This gathering  is planned to coincide with the Brewers game that day. GO BREWERS!
