Conrad Heinen

Capuchin Friar Conrad Heinen died on November 7, 2016. He was 91. Conrad was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1925, the son of Arnold Heinen and Theresa Vogel. He was invested with the Capuchin habit in 1958 and perpetually professed in 1962. He served in formation ministry for six years before beginning Native American ministry in Montana, where he served from 1976 until his retirement in 1996.
Conrad is survived by 3 sisters: JoAnn Godkin of Greenfield WI; Florence Ullrich of Knoxville TN; and Terry Jarosz of Franklin WI; a brother, John of Brookfield WI; as well as his Capuchin brothers with whom he lived, prayed and ministered during the past 58 years.
Visitation will begin Saturday, November 12, 2016 at ST. JOSEPH PARISH (404 W. Lawrence St. Appleton) at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. His burial is scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Mt. Calvary, WI.
