Claudette Mauricette Hammen (nee Poupard), Appleton, age 78, died at Prairie Homes on Friday, August 19, 2022.  She was born on September 27, 1943 in Marigny-Brizay, France to the late Maurice and Odette (LaFond) Poupard.  She married Thomas Hammen on December 1, 1962 in Poitiers, France and earned her U.S. Citizenship on May 20, 1969.  Claudette worked in international sales for Miller Electric before retiring.  She was well known for her sense of style and had a successful second career in retail, working at Macy's.

Claudette is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thomas; sons:  Michael (Kimberly) of Little Chute; Christopher (Karla) of Appleton; and Eric (Tamara) of Miami; grandchildren:  Seth, Jonah (Hazel), Esther, Mitchell, Kyle, Pierce (Patty), Maddie Grace, Reed, and Jude Mark Hammen; siblilngs:  Michelle Pytlak, Daniele (Daniel) Humbert, Dominique (Bridgette) Poupard, and Philippe (Isabelle) Poupard; and brothers and sisters-in-law:  Jerry (Kathy) Hammen, Ann (Jim) Vander Sanden, Ellen (Mike) Hooyman, Mary (Dan) Romenesko, Ron (Lynn) Hammen, and Bill Conrad.  She is further survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends on both side of the Atlantic.

In addition to her parents, Claudette was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Eunie Hammen; brother, Jean Claude (Daniele) Poupard; and brothers and sisters-in-law:  Kathy Conrad, Doug (Linda) Hammen, and Jerry Pytlak.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute) beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating.  Committal St. John Cemetery.
