Christine Rae Havinga (nee Kunstman), Kaukauna, age 70, peacefully passed away at Little Chute Health Services on Friday, January 20, 2023, with her family at her side.  She was born in Appleton on May 27, 1952 to the late Raymond and Betty (Defferding) Kunstman, Jr.  Chrisy married Donald Havinga on May 5, 2005.  He preceded her in death on January 24, 2020.  Chrisy was an outgoing and spirited soul.  In her earlier years, Chrisy was a dancer and sang professionally with the Sweet Adeline Choir.  Later, she worked as a bartender.  Chrisy loved making large pots of soup and putting it in containers to share with family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters:  Sara Schwalbach (nee Blenke) and Sherrie (Shane) Kelsall, both of Kaukauna; sister:  Sue (Tom) Van Asten; grandchildren:  Casey, Katelynn, Nick, Payton, and Terrin; and great grandchildren:  Josiah and Jayce.  She is further survived by members of Don's family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Don, Chrisy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Clara Defferding.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Belitz officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Highland Memorial Park.
