Cheryl (Cheri) Lynn Ehlert, 80, was called to her heavenly home on May 23, 2025 after a short illness. She married her husband and childhood sweetheart, Raymond Ehlert, Jr. on December 14, 1963 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Together they had three deeply loved daughters Tina (Brad) Bauer of Groton, MA; Sabrina Ehlert of Menasha, WI; Kendra (Norm) Prill of Neenah, WI. Her legacy will continue through her grandchildren Jeffrey (Rachel) Bauer, Joshua Bauer, Hayden McGuire, Jayce McGuire and Adyssen Prill.

Cheri deeply loved her special family Dawn and Lee Atkinson and their children Travis (Janice) Doerfler and their children Lilly, Clara and Parker; Brian (Kristi) Flunker and Carly (Irvin) Salazar.

Family was her greatest joy in life. She loved everyone with all her heart and had a soft spot for many pets throughout the years. She enjoyed putting her hands in dirt to tend her indoor and outdoor plants, reading historical fiction and helping with pre-school and grade-school children at Bethel Lutheran Church in Menasha WI and her former church Trinity Lutheran in Elkhart IN.

She is survived by her brother Randy (Cathie) Ruder and in-laws Lee Roy Weinfurter, Judy Brown, Mary Goetz (fiancé Glenn Vangolen), Kathy (Scott) Hall, Lisa (John) Bailey, Al (Brenda) Haasl, Diane Urban, Jerry (Dawn) Haasl, Mike Haasl and many nieces and nephews.

Proceeding her in death were her parents Donald and Mary (Miller) Ruder, siblings Rodney Ruder, Maridon Weinfurter and step-brother Donald Ruder Jr., in-laws Julane Ruder, Raymond Ehlert Sr., Leah Mae Haasl, Ernie Goetz, Ray Haasl, Harold Haasl and Jim Urban.
