Charles J. "Chuck" Schuh, Kaukauna, age 71, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born in Kaukauna on March 30, 1945 to the late Gust and Agnes (De Bruin) Schuh. After graduating from Kaukauna High School in 1963, Chuck joined the Marines. Upon his honorable discharge from the Marines, Chuck went to work at Thilmany Paper Mill. He retired in 2008 after 44 ½ years of dedicated service.
Chuck married Barbara Ver Voort at Holy Cross Church on October 9, 1965, where he was a lifelong member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his sons, and dedicated countless hours every summer to his vegetable and flower gardens.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara; children: Joe (Heidi) of Green Bay; Nick (Diane) of Kaukauna; and Karen (Greg) Hartjes of Appleton; grandchildren: Bradley, Emily, Eric, Henry, Kristin and Claire Schuh, Madelyn, Eli and Owen Hartjes; siblings: John (Sharon), Dick (Margaret), Mary (Gerald) Van Domelen and Marty (Sue); mother-in-law: Nellie Ver Voort; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Rose Schuh, Betsy (Tony) Wisneski, Joe Jr. (Sandy), Dick (Mary), Jerry (Cheri), Patty, and Terry (Lori) Ver Voort. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Joseph Ver Voort; brother, Jim Schuh; and nephew, Nathaniel Schuh.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (309 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna) beginning at 1:30 p.m. until time of Mass at 4:00 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Pomeroy will officiate. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
