Obituary

Catherine "Cathy" Stern, age 78, New London, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on October 11, 1936 to the late Oliver and Olga (Christensen) Roberts in the Town of Deer Creek, WI. She was a graduate of Washington High School, New London in 1954. On January 29, 1955, she married Lloyd Stern. Cathy worked at various secretarial positions and as a clerk and treasurer for the Town of Mukwa.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Lloyd; two daughters, Cindy (Jim) Iaffaldano of Omaha, Nebraska, Sally (Mike) Bohlmann of Sussex, WI; four sons, Peter (Ruth) Stern of River Falls, WI, Rev. Paul (Kathryn) Stern of Sturgis, MI, John (Jill) Stern and David (Wendy) Stern of Northport, WI; grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) and Amy Iaffaldano, Brad and Keri Bohlmann, Erin (Adam) Salerno, Eric, Ben, Caleb, Alex, Sam, Mike, Sarah and Kristina Stern; great grandchildren, Jayden, Emerik, Spencer, Tony, Alison, Evan, Veronica and Dexter, step grandchildren, Katie, Jarred, and Brennan; step great grandchildren, Kayden, Kera, Kenna, Kensie, Allan and Kailynn.

She is further survived by three sisters, Phyllis (Don) Quaintance, Joyce (Ray) Voight and Judy Kraus; one brother, David (Phyllis) Roberts; sisters in law, Margie (Herb) Uratani and Lorraine Johnson; and brother in law, Bud Stern.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Victor, Fritz and George Roberts; sister, June (Harold) Hutchinson; brothers and sisters in law, Ethel (Pete) Westphal, Evelyn (Vernon) Burton, Ilo Johnson, Lucille (Ted) Ebert, Gordon (Camella) Stern, Cathryn Stern, Tony Kraus, and Ed (Millie) Stern; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Sugar Bush (E9680 Church Street, New London) from 9 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Preston Heuer officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank Theda Care at Home, Theda Care Hospice and Dr. Curtis Baltz for their compassionate care and support for Cathy.
