Carol S. Hansel, Appleton, age 73, passed away at Meadow Brook on Saturday, April 30, 2022.  She was born in Appleton on June 29, 1949 to the late Eugene and Nila Pegel.  Carol enjoyed playing cards and games, coloring, and having Sunday coffee with the girls as she liked to say. Her favorite television show to watch was the Golden Girls.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. Carol always looked forward to Thanksgiving at her daughter's house.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Nick) Leary of Greenville; granddaughter, Keegan; and siblings:  Valerie Metzenbauer, Kathleen Pegel, Vickie (Ron) Hietpas, Steve (Bonnie) Pegel, and Scott Pegel.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis (Barbara) Pegel.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
