Van Landghen

Bruce J. "Van" Van Landghen, Little Chute, age 81, died at his home on Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born in Appleton on August 28, 1940, to the late Frederick and Alvina (Wulgaert) Van Landghen. He met the love of his life, Margaret "Red" Seeliger, in 2 nd grade. They married on October 1, 1959, and shared 56 wonderful years together, until August 10, 2016, when Red passed away.
Bruce is survived by his children: Lori and Mark "Van" Van Landghen; daughter-in-law, Lisa Williams; grandchildren: Hunter Kavanaugh and his fiancee' Sylvia Guzman; Nicole Geiger; and sister-in-law, Susan Seeliger.
In addition to his parents and Margaret, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Robert Seeliger; and Nicole's deceased father, Larry Geiger.
Bruce is survived by his brothers: Doug and Jack Van Landghen; and preceded in death by Paul and Dan Van Landghen, and Phley Huss.
He was known for his work within the auto mechanics industry, owning Van's Standard Service Station and Van's Lawn, Snow, and Auto Sales. He also worked at Tim's Auto Body for several years working as a Tow Truck Driver.
When he wasn't under a car hood working on a car, he could be found fishing, golfing or having a cookout with a shot and a beer with his family and his favorite cat, Snowball.
Now that Van is no longer with us, he's up in the sky cruising in his '57' Chevy with Margie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
