Obituary

Brian Lee Gerrits, formerly of Kaukauna, passed away at the age of 34, on April 22, 2023.  He was born September 17, 1988, to Jeff and Julie (Allwardt) Gerrits of Kaukauna.  He graduated from Kaukauna High School with the class of 2007 and UW Oshkosh.  He held various jobs in the valley.
He is survived by his parents; children: Blake and Arianna; sister, Emily (Andy) Dodge; nephews: Leo and Royce Dodge; grandmother, Wilma Allwardt; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Those who knew Brian loved his sense of humor, quick wit and willingness to help a friend.  He was always a night owl, so he was in his element as a server for those late-night jobs. He really enjoyed the outdoors, loved camping trips with his son, Blake, and enjoyed music festivals and concerts.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Ted Gerrits; grandparents, Leo and Lillian Gerrits, Kenneth Allwardt; and special cousin, Jesse Donnermeyer.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rod Krueger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a rehabilitation facility helping those battling addiction, homeless shelter or local food pantry in Brian's name.
