Obituary

Berla B. Wittmann, Kimberly, age 79, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born on the family farm on July 22, 1938 to the late Beryl and Bessie (Howard) Steck. Berla had four sisters: Rosalee Upp, LaFaye Ireton, Bonnie Hunter and Jere Johnson. She loved people and being active. Berla married in 1959 and had three children: Julia (John) Edwards, Scott Edwards and Jill Edwards-Susini.  She loved being involved in all her children's activities and belonged to many organizations. Berla was a member of King's Daughters and on many church boards, outreach ministries and choirs. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School. Berla was a realtor broker for 25 years.

She married Bob Wittmann in 1993. His children are Kay (Mike) Gloudemans, Mary (Doug) Smith, Jon (Beth) Wittmann and Amy (Ron) Buchinger. She was also blessed with her grandchildren: Anna, Zach, Allie, Justin, Jill, Tony, Charlie (Abby), Hailee, Sarah (fiancé Marc), Mitchell, Willie, Alex, Reid, Samuel, Ana and David; and great grandchildren: Hunter, Alayna, Kennedy, Khloe, Anthony and Lily and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Berla was preceded in death by her sisters: Bonnie Hunter and Jere (Wayne) Johnson, step-daughter Ann Wittmann; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Bob and Berla built a home in Arizona, where they lived for 22 years and came home to Wisconsin each summer. Berla played golf and cards. She truly loved helping others and always said she was the most blessed person on earth. God gave her a life full of love and smiles.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH (601 S. Washington St. Combined Locks) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Tim Krick will officiate. Committal St. Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.

I love you all more than you could ever know. Bless you all. The most important thing in life is love and that was you.

The Wittmann and Edwards families extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at ThedaCare at Home and Cherry Meadows Hospice for the exceptional care Berla received.
