Obituary

Becki B. Hetherington, Appleton, age 54, died Thursday, March 1, 2018 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Appleton on June 25, 1963 to William and Pearl (Koehler) Hetherington. Becki worked as a Senior Production Planner at Hoffmaster in Appleton and Oshkosh for 28 years. She had a generous heart and donated to various charities, especially the United Way. Becki cherished her family, enjoyed occasional trips to the casino with her sister and precious times at holiday gatherings. Additionally, Becki loved nature and being outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, kayaking and fishing at Hatchet, boating with Troy and friends and especially playing and walking her dogs, Ellie and Ruby. Exercise and fitness were also an important part of Becki's life.

Becki is survived by her mother, Pearl Hetherington; siblings: Scott (Maribeth) Hetherington, Sturgeon Bay; Jay (Mary Jo) Hetherington, Greenville; Kim (Jean) Hetherington, Appleton; Terry Hetherington (Pat Marso), Appleton; and Lynn (James) Schnetzer, Appleton; special friend: Troy Dadas; nieces and nephews: Sara (Jeff) Malchow, Tim (Kelly) Hetherington, Erin (Peter) Stahlschmidt, Jennifer(Aaron) Madison, Michael Hetherington, Craig (Corey) Hetherington, Laura (Dave) McGuire, Stacey (Aaron) Hetherington, Ashley (Mike) Hetherington, Ryan Hetherington, Tyler Hetherington, Trisha Gibson, Erik (Bridget) Schnetzer, Lisa Schnetzer-Haut, and Jason Schnetzer; twenty-three great nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece. She is further survived by other loving relatives and many friends.

Becki was preceded in death by her father, William J. Hetherington, Jr. and infant sister, Kathy Jo Hetherington.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST (1130 W. Marquette St. Appleton) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of church service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be provided at the church. The Rev. Gail Irwin will officiate. A memorial fund has been set up, in lieu of flowers, with donations going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research, Fox Valley Humane Society and United Way.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and caregivers at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, with special thanks to Joan. A heartfelt thank you as well to the nurses and staff at Heartland Hospice for their caring and loving compassion. Becki was a beautiful and loving person who will be missed by everyone whose life she uniquely touched.
