Barbara J. Brinkman, Little Chute, age 69, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Cherry Meadows Hospice after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 9, 1946 in Appleton to the late Gilbert and Bernice (Kahler) Beyer. Barbara married Charles Brinkman at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna in 1970. Prior to retiring from Goodwill Industries, Barbara worked at Pick 'n Save and also taught at St. John's High School. Her passion was gymnastics and she coached the Fox River Twisters gymnastics team for the YMCA for 14 years. She also enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, and playing cards.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles; children: Kevin (Amanda Pues) Brinkman of Little Chute; Michael Brinkman of Little Chute; Steve (Rachelle) Brinkman of Appleton; and Nancy (Tom) Smith of Florida; grandchildren: Gavin, Garrett and Mark Brinkman, Erica (Garrett) Sutula, Alex and Ryan Smith; great grandson, Liam Smith. Barbara is also survived by her sister, Betty Beyer, and preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Beyer. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday January 30, 2016 at ST. LUKE LUTHERAN CHURCH (705 E. Greenfield Dr. Little Chute) beginning at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Szep will officiate. Committal at Riverside Cemetery.
