Anton "Tony" Frank, 67, Combined Locks, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 18, 1947 to the late Harold and Dorothy (McQuade) Frank. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in June of 1966. On July 25, 1970 he married Carole Schreiber at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.
Tony enjoyed his wooded backyard, which offered him the opportunity to watch wild turkeys, deer, various birds and wildlife from the dining room window. He was an outdoor lover and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. Tony liked traveling with his wife and children, having the opportunities to see Spain, Japan, Greece, Italy, Caribbean, Alaska and various places in the United States. He was also an avid sports fan, watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and car racing. Tony was very proud to have served his country in the Vietnam War. He battled Multiple Sclerosis for over 40 years and was an avid participant in fundraising events for helping to find cures for the disease. He will always be remembered for his ways of making a quick joke or spout a "Tony-ism" to make you smile. Tony was very proud of his four children and five grandsons and he cherished the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole; children: Andrea (Frank) Mirkow of Washington D.C.; Chris (Jen) Frank of Madison; Andrew (Kristi) Frank of Kimberly; and daughter-in-law, Karen Frank-Mueller of Kaukauna; grandchildren: Harrington and Hamilton Mirkow, Emmett, Austin and Connor Frank; granddogs Calix and Dante; sisters: Kay (Steve) Victor and Karen (Bruce) Hull; brother Terry (Lois) Frank; special friends: Gary (Betty) Hooyman, Vern (Karla) Gebhart and Stan (Judy) Griesbach; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Frank; Carole's parents, Clarence (Agnes) Schrieber; sister: Dolly (Joe) DeNoble; nephew: Stevie Victor: and special friends, Ray Hardtke and Bob Bootz.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – HOLY ANGELS CHURCH (W2796 Hwy KK, Darboy) from 9 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 am. The Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen will officiate. Military Honors are to follow. Committal Holy Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund for the Multiple Sclerosis Society is being established.
