Antoinette M.
Hawley
December 2, 1937 – May 18, 2020
Antoinette M. "Toni" Hawley, Sheboygan, age 82, passed away peacefully Monday, May 18, 2020, at Sheboygan Senior Community. Toni was born in Appleton on December 2, 1937 to the late James and Florence (Gartzky) Mankosky.
She graduated in 1956 from Holy Cross Catholic School in Kaukauna. On February 1, 1958 she was united in marriage to Jerry Hawley at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time at their cottage with their children in Gresham.
Toni is survived by her children: Carrie (Steve) Freund; Colleen (Larry) Bubb; Kelly (Mark Hoffmann) Meyer; Craig (Lisa) Hawley; and Michael (Stephanie) Hawley; grandchildren: Tara (Ian) Murphy; Jeremy (Nicole) Freund; Joshua Freund; Adam (Angela) Nigh; Kristin Nigh; Nick (Alyssa) Bubb; Matt Bubb; Nicole (Dan) Von Benken; Brett (Heather) Wagner; Megan (Glen) Yolich; Kali (Pete) Vande Hey; Chase Hawley; Jack Hawley; Elisabeth Hawley; and Claire Hawley. Toni is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren: Brayden, TJ, Dylan, Kayliegh, Joe, Leo, Eli, Jax, Owen, Rosie, Alex, Owen, Lily, Ben, Jonathon, Andrew, Isabella, Wyatt, Pieper, Emmaline, Genevieve, Jack, and Andrew; in-laws: Bob (Nancy) Hawley; Len Hawley; Pat (Bob) Sievert; Dave Hawley; and Don (Betty) Hawley.
In addition to her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; and sisters-in-law: Mary Hawley, Robin Hawley and Carol Hawley.
Toni held a few jobs throughout her life, but the one she was best at was being a mom, and oh what a mom she was. She was our friend, our supporter, our rock. She was a huge sports fan and loved watching the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. Toni also enjoyed watching golf on TV. She especially enjoyed watching the senior tour (Trevino, Nichlaus, etc.) and as she put it, those were "her guys".
Toni was a special person and never took a day off from being friendly, caring and selfless. To say she had the gift of gab was an understatement and she certainly passed that on to at least a few of her children. Her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone was one of her biggest gifts to the world. It didn't matter if it was a two line conversation or a five minute talk, she viewed everyone as a friend and nobody was a stranger to her! Although her positive attitude and infectious personality will be missed dearly, we know that with her arrival Heaven became a better place. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know her and she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held on July 5 th .
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude and thank you to the nurses and CNA's at Sheboygan Senior Community and St. Nicholas Hospice for their kind, compassionate and loving support they have shown Toni over the past four years.
