Alice M. Van Lankveldt, Little Chute, age 89, died Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Wrightstown on October 4, 1922 to the late Fred and Nellie (Coenen) Baumgart. Alice married Henry J. Van Lankveldt on September 10, 1941 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1989. Alice was a member of the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 Ladies Auxiliary, the Golden Agers and the St. John Mission Club. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Sheephead, and watching the Packers.
Alice is survived by her children: Ronald (Jolayne), Kaukauna; Marilyn (Joseph) Vander Wielen, Neenah; and Pam Keen, Pensacola, FL; grandchildren: Sherry (Dan) Klein, Terry (Rick) Houterman, Debra (Jeff) Runnoe, Rhonda (Barney) Tomazevic, Joseph (Chris) Vander Wielen, Michele (Rob) Crawford, Christine (Mark) Laughlin, Nicole St. Aubin, David Keen, Kim (Randy) Andersen, Roger (Theresa) Van Nuland, Lisa (Ed) Porter, Laurie (Tom) Meyer, Kris (William "BJ") Fischer, Brian (Jenny) Van Lankveldt; 40 great grandchildren; brothers and sister: Howard and Walter (Beverly) Baumgart and Marcella Evers; and son-in-law: John (special friend Nancy Woods) Van Nuland; and daughter-in-law: Sherry Van Lankveldt.
In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was preceded in death by her children: Eugene Van Lankveldt and Judy Van Nuland; grandchildren: Daniel Van Nuland and Douglas Van Lankveldt; brothers: Wilfred (Catherine)and Gordon (Edith) Baumgart; and sister and brother-in-law: Bernice Baumgart and Jerome Evers.
Visitation will be held Saturday February 4, 2012 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Lawrence Canavera will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery.
