Alan Robert Behling, Town of Buchanan, age 68, died at his home on Thursday, December 7, 2023, with his family at his side.  He was born in Kaukauna on August 4, 1955, the son of Arthur and Margaret (Boucher) Behling.  Al married Shirley Mae Vandenberg on June 9, 1976 at St. Paul Parish in Combined Locks.  He was a self-employed master electrician for many years.  Al enjoyed his trips to Menards and Dollar Tree and woodworking in his shop.  He also enjoyed time outdoors, whether it was fishing and camping with good friends, gardening, or golfing.  Al treasured his family and always had a candy bar for his grandkids.

Al is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley; children:  Jessica (Kelly) Sexton, Cross Plains; Chad Behling, Denver; and Stephanie (Wendy) Wehling, Kimberly;  grandchildren:  Brianne and Clare Sexton, Evelyn and Natalie Van Thiel (and their father, Matt Van Thiel), and Ryan and Ashley Trippler; father, Arthur Behling; siblings:  Bonnie Tuttle, Thomas (Sue) Behling, Philip (Susan) Behling, and Elizabeth "Betsy" (John) Moder, Dick Westley; brothers and sisters-in-law: Linda Vandenberg, Lyle (Karen) Vandenberg, Ron (Debbie) Vandenberg, Janice (Tim) Day, Roy (Pauline) Vandenberg, Carl (Wendy) Vandenberg, Carol Haas, Dennis Vandenberg, and Leo (Sharon) Vandenberg.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Al was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Behling; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Marion Vandenberg; sister, Barb Westley; and in-laws:  Jerry, Vernon, and Amy Vandenberg.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute) from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral at 5:00 p.m.  Committal Holy Name Cemetery, Kimberly.
