Obituary

Agnes M. Pfrunder, resident of Kindred Hearts in Kaukauna, age 101, died unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday October 4, 2012. She was born in the Town of Harrison on October 17, 1910 to the late Frank and Anna (Micke) Van Treeck. Agnes was a lifelong member of St. Mary Parish (currently St. Katharine Drexel Parish) where she was a member of the Altar Society. She married Rodney Feavel at St. Mary Parish on July 4, 1935. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1959. Agnes then married Theodore Pfrunder on January 27, 1968 at St. Mary Parish. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1991. She worked as a nurse's aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Riverview Sanitorium. She also worked as a nanny for Drs. Leigh and Behnke. Agnes was a member of the Catholic Knights for over 80 years and was also a Golden Ager. She travelled extensively throughout the state, New York City, Washington DC, Florida, California and Hawaii.

Agnes is survived by her step children: Greg (Joom) Pfrunder and Pam Tvaden; 3 step grandchildren; sister-in-law: Clarice (Howie) Letz; nephews: Cletus (Louise) and John J. Van Treeck; nieces: Germaine Kempen (Godchild) and Eyla Mae (Roger) Zwiers; Feavel nieces and nephews: Jody Medenwaldt, Roni Yelle, Nina Komatz, Carl Kielcheski, Helen Mazanet, Thomas Jessen, Rochelle Altenhofen, Stanley, Thomas (Godchild), Robert, Richard and Douglas Feavel. She is further survived by many caring grand, great grand and great great grandnieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husbands, Agnes was preceded in death by her brothers: John J. (Naomi), Aloysius and Norbert Van Treeck; sisters: Anna, Josephine and Clara Van Treeck and Catherine (Nicholas) Ashauer. She was also preceded in death by members of the Feavel and Pfrunder families.

Visitation will be held Monday October 8, 2012 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Jerry Pastors will officiate. Committal St. Mary Cemetery.
